Here is Round 2 of the Mock Draft for 2012 as of Wildcard Weekend
#33 - St. Louis, Lavonte David-Outside Linebacker, Nebraska
We like the look of David out of Nebraska and he projects as an outside linebacker in a 4-3 which is a need for the Rams.
#34 - Indianapolis, Jared Crick-Defensive End/Defensive Tackle, Nebraska
Indy have needs at D-Line as well as corner or O-Line and maybe even running back. Crick is highly regarded and can play either end or tackle which should be enough for the Colts to pull the trigger.
#35 - Minnesota, Chase Minnifield-Cornerback/Kick Returner, Virginia
The Vikes need serious help CB and Minnifield is a guy that could rise the boards before too long with excellence intangibles and ability as a kick returner. Minnesota have Percy Harvin but may want to use him more in the offense and less in special teams. Either way this seems like a good choice for a team that likes to pick need first.
#36 - Tampa Bay, Zach Brown-Outside Linebacker, North Carolina
The Bucs use their first two picks to grow their defense. Zach Brown will rush the pass in a 4-3 although they also like the look of Travis Lewis as an alternative if Brown doesn’t fall this far.
#37 -Cleveland, Chris Polk-Running Back, Washington
DB is another option or David Wilson but Polk may rise just enough for the Browns to make their move here.
#38 - Jacksonville, Nick Toon-Wide Receiver, Wisconsin
The Jags have a new QB and now they go for Toon at WR who has a lot of potential and may end up going higher before all is said and done.
#39 - Washington, Nick Foles-Quarterback, Arizona
Foles is the right fit for Shanahan who now has his starting running back and QB.
#40 - Carolina, Zebrie Sanders-Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State
There are a few options here for the Panthers but not seeing anyone they like at either WR or DT they take Sanders who will start at right tackle.
#41 - Buffalo, Whitney Mercilus-Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Illinois
The Bills addressed front 7 need with the first round but are still looking to upgrade their pass rush. Other options are DB or WR.
#42 - Miami, Bobby Wagner-Inside Linebacker, Utah State
Wagner as a need is just too tempting for Miami to pass up despite the fact they were eyeing off Kellen Moore at QB. Moore may drop enough for the Dolphins to get both.
#43 - Seattle, Sam Montgomery-Defensive End, LSU
The sophomore dropped into the 2nd round but the slide stops at Seattle who think Montgomery can fix their pass rush problems.
#44 - Kansas City, Alameda Ta’amu-Nose Tackle, Washington
Ta’amu is a little high at #44 but won’t be there next time the Chiefs pick so is a logical choice here with CB and OL to be looked at later on.
#45 - Dallas, Stephen Gilmore-Cornerback, South Carolina
Gilmore has got potential and fits in better than SS Mark Barron despite the fact Barron grades higher and the Cowboys have needs all over their secondary.
#46 - Philadelphia, Mark Barron-Strong Safety, Alabama
Philly have another pick to come from Arizona and Barron is a position of some need so why not pull the trigger on a guy on top of the board?
#47 - NY Jets, Brandon Washington-Offensive Guard, Miami
Washington is a good looking prospect that seems like a steal at this point and the Jets need help at guard.
#48 - San Diego, Bruce Irvin-Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, West Virginia
Bruce Irvin should do well standing up in a 3-4 in pass rush situations, the questions on whether he can also defend the run standing up could be an issue that makes this a slighty dicey pick.
#49 - New England (from Oakland), Jayron Hosley-Cornerback, Virginia Tech
Hosley upgrades the Pats decimated secondary.
#50 - Chicago, Coby Fleener-Tight End, Stanford
The Bears need a Tight End and instead of fixing their ailing O-Line go for Fleener to continue giving Jay Cutler some options.
#51 - Philadelphia (from Arizona), Travis Lewis-Outside Linebacker, Oklahoma
The Eagles need to get bigger at outside linebacker and Lewis allows them to do just that.
#52 - Tennessee, Rueben Randle-Wide Receiver, Oklahoma
Randle isn’t the quickest option out there but he does give Jake Locker a better option than the current stable of receivers the Titans have so he is the choice here.
#53 - Cincinnati, David Wilson-Running Back, Virginia Tech
Wilson gives the Bengals options at running back as Cedric Benson is not getting any younger.
#54 - Detroit, Nate Potter, Offensive Tackle, Boise State
Nate Potter is an upgrade to Detroit’s woeful O-Line, he is a tackle but could just as easily kick into guard, both positions require an upgrade.
#55 - Atlanta, Orson Charles-Tight End, Georgia
Needs: LOT, TE, DB, DE - BNQ=3.3
The Falcons like to take need and have little option as this is their first pick of the draft so Charles is the obvious choice over reaching for a tackle or DB.
#56 - Pittsburgh, Ronnell Lewis-Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Oklahoma
The Steelers like to take BPA and Lewis fits the bill nicely.
#57 - Denver, Kelechi Osemele-Offensive Guard/Tackle, Iowa State
Denver have a few needs but go with the potential in Osemele to cover both guard and tackle.
#58 - NY Giants, Sean Spence - Outside Linebacker Miami (Fla.)
The Giants have a decent pass rush on the edge but need help in behind at linebacker, Spence is an upgrade but they’d have taken Travis Lewis if he was there ahead of Spence.
#59 New England (from Houston), Brandon Thompson-Defensive Tackle, Clemson
This guy is big and strong and will fill the middle made empty by the departure of Albert Haynesworth.
#60 - San Francisco, Tommy Streeter-Wide Receiver, Miami (Fla.)
Is this a reach? Probably. But the Niners need a WR to go to the next step. Other options include Brian Quick or Dwight Jones.
#61 - New Orleans, Billy Wynn-Defensive End/Defensive Tackle, Boise State
Needs: OT, DE, DT, OLB - BNQ=4.8
This guy is big and strong and can rush the passer, just what the Saints require for their first pick of the draft. The Brandon’s Jenkins or Lindsay are also possibilities.
#62 - TRADE Jacksonville (from New England), Brandon Jenkins-Outside Linebacker/Defensive End, Florida State
The Jags went offense with their first 2 picks but also need a DE. Jenkins fits the bill at 6-3 and 265lb to play at end and rush the passer.
#63 - Baltimore, Andrew Datko-Offensive Tackle, Florida State
Andrew Datko is rising the boards and the Ravens consider him worth taking in the 2nd here to try out at left tackle.
#64 - Green Bay, Vinny Curry-Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Marshall
It’s between Brandon Lindsey and Vinny Curry although Billy Wynn could also be an option.
