#33 - St. Louis, Nick Perry-Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, USC
It’s not a need pick but Perry being there on day two made it an easy option and new coach Jeff Fisher can certainly use a man of his abilities.
#34 - Indianapolis, Kendall Reyes-Defensive Tackle, Connecticut
The Colts need a defensive tackle and Reyes stock is climbing enough to have him on the fringe of the first round, seems like a good match.
#35 - Minnesota, Alshon Jeffery-Wide Receiver, Notre Dame
Jeffery is a prestigious talent and could be just what new QB Christian Ponder needs. can the Vikings keep Jeffery on the straight and narrow which is the biggest concern for most teams looking at the receiver.
#36 - Tampa Bay, Zach Brown-Outside Linebacker, North Carolina
The Bucs like Brown to upgrade their linebacking corps and is good value at the top of the second round.
#37 -Cleveland, Lamar Miller-Running Back, Miami
At some point the Browns need to pick a running back. The fact Miller is still there at #37 makes it quite an easy selection.
#38 - Jacksonville, Andre Branch-Defensive End, Clemson
The Jags need help at DE and Branch is currently the top rated player left at that position.
#39 - Washington, Brandon Weeden-Quarterback, Oklahoma State
It stands to reason that someone will take a chance on the 28 year old senior out of Oklahoma State. The Redskins may be best poised to do just that.
#40/#42 - Carolina, Kevin Zeitler-Offensive Guard, Wisconsin
The Panthers need help at receiver and may be tempted by Chris Givens or they will play it safe and take another need in Kevin Zeitler at OG.
#41 - Buffalo, Alfonzo Dennard-Cornerback, Nebraska
The Bills need more depth at the corner position and Dennard is a fringe first rounder who could be a starter by season’s end.
#40/42 - St Louis (from Miami), Stephen Gilmore-Cornerback, South Carolina
The Rams have many needs but corner ranks right at the top, Gilmore has a lot of potential and could thrive under new coach Jeff Fisher.
#43/#44 - Seattle, Dwayne Allen-Tight End, Clemson
It doesn’t seem likely the top rated tight end will still be on the board at #43 after last year’s success stories in Rob Gronkowski and Jimmy Graham but at this stage it is a distinct possibility and a great pick up for a Seahawks team losing John Carlson to free agency this season.
#43/#44 - Kansas City, Kirk Cousins-Quarterback, Michigan State
The Chiefs have advised they are looking out for a quarterback. If they don’t land one in free agency then Cousins may be the pick here.
#45 - Dallas, Mark Barron-Strong Safety, Alabama
The Cowboys have needs at secondary and Mark Barron is a first round player that has fallen back a fair way, it’s unlikely he slides past Dallas.
#46 - Philadelphia, Zebrie Sanders-Offensive Tackle, Oklahoma State
Philly have needs in many areas, one of which is the O-Line and Sanders fits the bill.
#47 - NY Jets, David Wilson-Running Back, Virginia Tech
The Jets want to get back to ground and pound, the current running backs aren’t getting the job done in New York and Wilson is a good addition at this point.
#48 - TRADE Miami (from Oakland through New England), Coby Fleener-Tight End, Stanford
The Dolphins gave up their 2nd round pick to get RGIII but they needed help at receiver so they dish out further picks to get back into the 2nd round to take Fleener.
#49 - San Diego, Bobby Wagner-Inside Linebacker, Utah State
Wagner is a guy that could develop into a very decent starter in the NFL. The Chargers need linebackers so this choice is fairly straight forward.
#50 - Chicago, Vinny Curry-Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Marshall
There is something about Vinny Curry that could entice the Bears at DE.
#51 - Philadelphia (from Arizona), Chris Givens-Wide Receiver, Miami (Ohio)
Chris Givens has speed and if Desean Jackson departs from Philadelphia he could be an able replacement. 4-3 specialist OLB Lavonte David is another option.
#52 - Tennessee, Ronnell Lewis-Defensive End/Outside Linebacker, Oklahoma
The Titans need a DE and Ronnell Lewis is at very good value at #52.
#53 - Cincinnati, Isaiah Pead-Running Back, Cincinnati
Pead showed plenty in the Senior Bowl and as the Bengals need a running back, who better than someone who comes right out of Cincinnati?
#54 - Detroit, Doug Martin-Running Back, Boise State
The Lions could do with running back help despite the fact they have tried (unsuccessfully) to fill the position in recent drafts.
#55 - Atlanta, Orson Charles-Tight End, Georgia
Needs: LOT, TE, CB, DE, OG - BNQ=3.3
The Falcons like to take need and have little option as this is their first pick of the draft so Charles replaces Gonzalez at tight end.
#56 - Pittsburgh, Alameda Ta’amu-Nose Tackle, Washington
Ta’amu is a little high at #56 and traditionally Pittsburgh won’t reach, however Nose Tackle is hard to fill and Ta’amu could continue to rise so by April this won’t seem out of the question at all.
#57 - Denver, Brandon Thompson-Defensive Tackle, Clemson
The Broncos don’t need Thompson but might find it mighty hard to pass him up.
#58 - Houston, Trumaine Johnson-Cornerback, Montana
Trumaine Johnson, Dwight Bentley or Brandon Boykin. They are all decent corners with potential and Houston’s need in this area will probably win out on the other choices available. We picked Johnson over the others because of his height advantage.
#59 - New Orleans, Jared Crick-Defensive End/Defensive Tackle, Nebraska
Needs: ROT, DE, DT, OL - BNQ=4.8
New Orleans’ first pick of the draft, Crick could’ve been a first round pick but for injury concerns, is he worth the risk for the Saints?
#60 - Green Bay, Shea McClellin-Defensive End, Boise State
McClellin is rising fast enough to be included here although Chandler Jones and Bruce Irvin are alternatives.
#61 - Baltimore, Bobby Massie-Offensive Tackle, Mississippi
Could this 6-6 tackle out of Mississippi be the Ravens answer to help protect Joe Flacco? Only time will tell.
#62 - San Francisco, Brandon Boykin-Cornerback, Georgia
San Francisco’s secondary played well above expectation in 2011 but Brandon Boykin will ensure the defense’s dominance in 2012.
#63- New England, George Iloka-Free Safety, Boise State
New England need more depth in their secondary, Dwight Bentley or Harrison Smith are options but we like Iloka and think Belichick might do also.
#64 - NY Giants, Lavonte David-Outside Linebacker, Nebraska
This is a steal at #64 but with not many 4-3 teams needing linebackers David drops to the Title holders who continue to get better.
It’s not a need pick but Perry being there on day two made it an easy option and new coach Jeff Fisher can certainly use a man of his abilities.
#34 - Indianapolis, Kendall Reyes-Defensive Tackle, Connecticut
